An experienced horticulturist, Trish got her start in cultivation over 20 years ago by assisting with running her family’s apple orchard. Once she completed her education, she moved on to progressively senior roles in viticulture, starting as a Viticulture Technician for Mission Hill Estate Winery and most recently working as the Vineyard Manager for Monte Creek Ranch Winery. Trish’s 8+ years of viticulture experience provided her with an intrinsic understanding of outdoor growing in the Okanagan.
Her impressive science-based education includes a Bachelor of Science (Biology) obtained from the University of British Columbia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Viticulture) from Lincoln University, where she graduated with distinction. Trish recently graduated top of her class from the Cannabis Production Program at Olds College, which included a practicum component working for a licensed cannabis producer cloning, transplanting, pruning, and learning about SOPs and the general LP working environment.
Trish’s viticulture experience also includes teaching and developing course materials. She has lectured at Okanagan College as a Viticulture Instructor and created course material for the college’s Viticulture Certificate Program. She has also developed course material for the BC Wine Grape Council’s Viticulture Technical Diploma program.
